Book your session through our easy-to-use online system. You’ll be given access to your personal client portal where you’ll be able to get updates, pay your fees, fill out questionnaires and contract and view your galleries and any album/wall art designs.
Planning and Style: Now you have your date and are ready to plan your session. You’ll complete our “getting to know you” questionnaire and read through our Welcome Guide. For Newborns, sit back and relax while Jody creates a custom studio flow. For all other sessions, you’ll be guided with colour profiles, favourite shopping links and style boards. Items from your own closet or ours are also available to create your session look.
Your date has arrived and everything is ready. Together, we have selected one of Jody’s fab locations for your shoot. If you’ve booked a newborn session, make sure to get in touch with JAC Photography as soon as babe arrives to finalize your session date.
Now you’ve finished your incredible session and there are a lot of beautiful photos to sort! Sit back & relax while we process your images. We’ll narrow them down to the best and make initial edits for you to select your faves and final order selections.
Within one to two weeks you’ll book an in-person or virtual ordering session where you’ll be able to view and choose your favourite photos.
We'll discuss the best locations to hang them, and what sizes and finishes will work best in your home. We carry many luxurious items from across the globe from stunning gallery-wrapped canvases to custom-made albums that showcase your experience.
In two to four weeks, your stunning, custom wall art or heirloom albums will arrive and we’ll meet again to hand it over! Your gorgeous display is ready for you to look at and cherish for generations to come.

Absolutely! While we fully believe images should never sit in a drawer or forever on the cloud, we totally understand the peace of mind & options that digital files can bring. We have various options to choose from whether you want one, a few or the entire gallery.

Do you include digital files?
Your time will depend on the session you are booking. Newborn sessions start at 10:30am and can last up to four hours giving plenty of time for soothing & feeding. Family & Maternity sessions are 1 to 2 hours. Child Sessions will last anywhere from 30 minutes (toddler) up to 2 hours (grad session with outfit changes) depending on the style of session you book.
what days ARE YOU OPEN?
JAC photography books all shoots Monday through Friday, during the day for in studio sessions. Family and outdoor Maternity sessions are scheduled 1-2 hours at most before sunset on weeknights for that creamy, golden light. We do have 1-2 Saturdays available per month for weather adjustments and special requests.
how long are sessions?
Newborn sessions occur within the first 6-14 days of life. At this stage, babies are the most sleepy, acne free and pose-able. When you book your newborn shoot, your date will remain tentative based on your due date. Once baby arrives, we ask that you let us know within 48 hours so we can lock in your shoot date within the 14-day window. We can adjust dates if circumstances require and will stay in contact with you for updates.

how old are newborns for sessions?
Yes! We understand that fine art photography is an investment. The session fee of $250 is due in full at booking covering the photographer’s time, skills and image processing. This fee is required to secure your session and is non-refundable. We do offer the ability for payment plans on any products, files or art collections. Orders will be delivered once paid in full. Please inquire with us about our payment options.
Do you offer payment plans?
In-person Ordering Sessions are an opportunity for you to see your images featured on various products and how they may look in your home. We offer virtual ordering options as well. An ordering session isn’t mandatory but we recommend it so you are able to take advantage of our expertise to choose the product that will give you the most joy when displayed in your home.

is an ordering session mandatory?
Some studios offer a limited selection of backdrops and poses, allowing them the chance to maximize the amount of sessions they can do at any given time. Our boutique studio makes every effort to customize each session to our clients, allowing the images to accentuate their personalities and style. Think of it as a quality over quantity scenario.
when should I book my session?
The more time we have to plan the better and we typically book up 2 months in advance for family sessions. For maternity and newborn, we recommend as soon as you hit 12 weeks and beyond.
